Default For U.S. cell phone users

I wasn't even aware that this was happening, ugh. I just registered my cell phone. Also a good time to verify that your other personal numbers are registered.

JUST A REMINDER, 20 days from today, cell phone numbers are being
released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale
calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS!

These telemarketers will eat up your free minutes and end up costing
you money in the long run. To prevent this, call the following number
from your cell phone:
888/382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a
minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years.

You can register on line at:
National Do Not Call Registry

Really?? Dang, I usually look those things up. I guess my usually finely-tuned urban legend radar was on the blink. Sorry! I'm kicking myself for sending that on, but as far as registering my cell number ... it only took a few seconds and kind of comes under the heading of "couldn't hurt".

LOL!!! No big deal...the only reason I know is that I passed this on to my sisters a few weeks ago because it sounded real and then I thought to check it out at snopes.com and found out it wasn't...'-}}
