Default Breaking text links in InDesign

Hey y'all,
Am working on a long document (100 pages or so) and want to take a section someone else has created and break all their text linking, whilst retaining all the text within their respective boxes.

Is this possible - or am I on the happy sauce again?

Cheers,
N

What you want to do is duplicate the frames, then delete the originals. Or in scripting terms, select some of the text and run either:

Code:
tell application "InDesign CS"
	tell document 1
set firstFrame to parent text frame of character 1 of parent story of insertion point 1 of selection
duplicate (every item of all page items whose start text frame is firstFrame)
delete (every item of all page items whose start text frame is firstFrame)
	end tell
end tell
or:

Code:
tell application "Adobe InDesign CS2"
	tell document 1
set firstFrame to item 1 of parent text frames of character 1 of parent story of insertion point 1 of selection
duplicate (every item of all page items whose start text frame is firstFrame)
delete (every item of all page items whose start text frame is firstFrame)
	end tell
end tell
depending on the version of ID.
