I dunno. It annoys me. They have some great products, why can't they market their own identity and strengths rather than continually comparing themselves to "those other guys"?

If I were a shrink, I think I'd be mumbling things about "inferiority complex" and "PCness envy" ....

Years ago there was a car in my condo's parking lot with a vanity plate that I couldn't figure out and finally one day I saw the owner getting out of the car and asked her...the plate was NOPNSNV...I loved that she was able to get it past the state censors...'-}}

I suppose it has to do with the constant marginalization of Macs in the general marketplace.

I have been shut out of so many sites in the past year: on-line shopping sites for clothing, household goods, and, most annoyingly, my prescription service.

Like it or not, Mac users feel very stressed about the Intel/Windows monopoly.

I'd gut this iMac for it if it (natively) ran Windows software<G> Other than that, currently I'd be willing to bet it's too rich for my blood, my iMac being as new as it is.

As long as Apple Computers remains just another computer manufacturer, with quite a large share of the personal-computer market, you've no cause for complaint. If, as many Mac enthusiasts claim, and some users of other systems admit, the present Mac OS is better than Windows, Linux, or any other OS, then it should conquer the world—providing the world isn't forced to buy computers from Apple.
