A client sent me a packaged ID document. Came as a .sitx file, so I assume it came from a Mac.

Included a Fonts folder containing .dfont files. I suspect they are not usable on a Windows system. Am I correct?

Yep, on both counts.

There is a utility called dfontifier for converting dfonts to plain Mac TrueType, but then you would still have to convert those to .ttf — which both of you could use.

So if this is a long-term client, might be worth the trouble. Otherwise . . .

Assuming you don't have easy access to a Mac running OSX, I can do a press PDF if you like. Just forward the .sitx file to macgraphics@repeat-performance.co.uk with For Robin in the subject, and it should take very little time at all.

Thanks to you and Robin for the references. This is just an ad for journal. I asked for a PDF and finally got something useful. Or at least it will be once she replaces a photo with a higher res version.
