LTC Halloween ornaments:

Halloween is a time when perfectly reasonable people choose to reenact some lost pagan rituals. No one seems to know why exactly, but Halloween has been celebrated in its present form for a little over one hundred years. This new set of ornaments dates back to the early 20th century and depicts a "classic" Halloween collection of black cats, pumpkins, witches and other indispensable Halloween ornaments. Intro sale price of $10 (50% off) until Halloween 2005.

Okay, is this part of a contest to see the most hideous online italic font? I really couldn't read what came up in your message.

Really? How odd.

It looks suspiciously like slanted roman here, which is strange. But it is not particularly hard to read, which may be a matter of font size. I keep mine at 12px (Verdana), and find it plenty large.

It was Times, and tiny, when I copied it from the P22 web site, so I changed it to the standard forum font here (which is Verdana). Or at least I thought I did.So now I wonder what happened. I will go edit it and see if I can fix it.

[Later: Hmmm. Must say it looks the same to me. What do you see now?]

But of course! Who would dream of saying otherwise?

Now that explains this font purchase all right ...
