Default Follow along, part 3

Thanks to all the comments here and client feedback, I'm very very near to being able to create my Dreamweaver template. Here's the current draft

Please, NO comments on content. I should have used gibberish, but that would have confused the client. The content is only there so Adam can see how the formatting works. I've already asked him for updated text.

Meant to explain why the e-mail subscription is at the top, but forgot earlier...

In a campaign, the e-mail list is 2nd only to the Donate button. Adam has one of the larger e-mail lists in the area and he's constantly adding to it. We need the field to be prominent, not buried in the footer.

Once again, some pages have eight nav links; some have nine. That should be standard across all pages.

Judy, there is only ONE page to review. I haven't updated any of the site yet because I don't have a final template yet.

OH! (Duh... the links work, so I figured it was part of the draft site!)

The links work because I never change file names or locations, thereby I never create broken links for other webmasters. I've lost track how many times I've had to update links because someone else broke my site. Grrrrrr!

You don't honestly think I'd create a good index page and link to that old HTML 4.01 I designed nearly 3 years ago, do you? ;>

Still nothing in the logo ALT= clause. And the name of the candidate is not in the text. Did you do the META statement?

Richard,

The logo has ALT text. The name of the candidate is in the H1. And I haven't used META tags for years, but have no problem getting sites listed in search engines.

Dennnis <==late for work; more later

OK so I now see the ALT= text. But no H1 as I see it. I think you should go for META as well.

Perhaps to think of the words that Google and others will show in the reference. The text you have in the ALT= perhaps could be longer and more descriptive, saying where you are up for election as well maybe.
