Default The Graphics Report

PC Graphics Report is now The Graphics Report and I just received my copy today. It's even better than before with its expanded coverage including both the pc and mac platforms. The Graphics Report is well worth the subscription price.

The following is from an annoucement email from the editor John Feld:

"We cover the same issues as before, only now we will supplement this with Macintosh information. We still address the creative process from design to publishing, be it print, Web, or photography.

With not only the exchange and interplay of information between clients on different platforms, but also the need to ensure intended outcomes on so different browsers, understanding cross platform issues is, for many, a necessity. We are providing the information you need whether you use a PC, a Mac, or both. We also will have many experts on software, color, prepress, design, and photography to write occasional pieces.

The amount of pages has grown, and we are now including some advertisements. Although the advertisers are the companies we talk about, the editorial content will not be influenced by them. We will maintain the same independent editorial perspective, bringing you trusted information, as we always have, to enhance the technical side of the creative process. We think you will find the content even more useful and informative."

Congrats John...it looks fab!

Terrie:

"The amount of pages has grown"

The number, dammit, the number. I should cancel your subscription if they won't learn English . . . er, American.

So those of us who aren't yet subscribers can't see a trial issue of the new report? Being dual-platform, it has become more interesting to me.

John:

So it was you, boy! That's no excuse, but in view of your prompt owning up, I shall merely give you a hundred lines: write out a hundred times, 'Countable objects take "number"; only uncountable ones take "amount".

Anyone can get the trial issue.
I am sorry if that was unclear.

While producing the Report, the pages seemed interminable, and consequently uncountable. I know this is no excuse, but I will try and do better next time.

Indeed you can get a sample issue; I went and got one right after reading Terrie's post.
