Glad that your replacement system looks to be good and...that you found a way to work with the Win10 Start Menu.

I rarely use the Start Menu because I have shortcuts on my desktop for all the stuff I use--frequently or infrequently--but I still liked Classic Start because it gave me options for tweaking what items display in the Start Menu and how they are displayed. Also of course, I couldn't live without the Classic Start Explorer portion since it fixes that damned bounce in the file list display which drove me absolutely nuts! '-}}

With respect to changing the Start Menu color, I found the following--in no particular order:

1. intowindows.com - how to change the color of the Win 10 Start Menu

2. cnet.com - customizing the Win 10 Start Menu

3. howtogeek.com - 10 ways to customize the Win 10 Start Menu

4. tenforums.com - change the accent color in Win10

5. lifehacker.com - customizing Win10 Start Menu
