Hm. I don't know that I'd say that. My old computers still work as well as they ever did. They may not be up to the demands of newer software, and I'll happy pin the pig tail on MS for its ever expanding demands for computer resources, but I don't see any evidence that MS is deliberately slowing them down when running the s'ware that's already on 'em.

If it gets to where my iPhone stops being usable due to a case of The Slows, I'll be looking at non-Apple alternatives. Might have to keep the old iPhone around just to run a program called IMIWA, the best Japanese/English dictionary app I've ever run across.

In any case, movies started working again. Sorta. Now it will get partway through a film, then freeze the video and tell me that it'll resume when my connection improves. Ah. The connection that gives me 60mbps and up over wifi according to five or six speed test sites? THAT connection? Oh, Apple, you're such a kidder.
