Default Changes in Compuserve email?

Tonight I signed into Compuserve forums and was met with big black box with white text telling me I'm using a third party email client with my settings wrong and security changes coming in December will or might cause problems. I tried to capture this screen, but for some reason I got logged out just as I was about to do it. But, the link on that screen lead to an article about how to set up an email client.

I have a Compuserve email address and I the SMTP and pop servers i deal with are at csi.com. I don't know how any of this would affect me, and I don't use any of the listed clients. But maybe when I'm not so tired I can figure out what to do. I'm using Qualcomm Eudora.
