Have you worked out how you highlight a word or group of words using the touch screen -- on my ASUS swiping does not seem to work.

OTH It's still on 10AC because firstly when CU came out Microsoft included a message they would not install it at present because of my configuration (hardware or firmware I don't know).

Then a month or so it forced the installation (Home on 10AC no choice) and the touchscreen stopped working so I had to roll back. None of the "solutions" worked because there was no Touchscreen entry under HMI in Device Manager and a suggested file from ASUS did not help.

Remind me if I forget to check this out. I've got an Asus with touch-screen (that I only touch by accident). I'll see if I can figure it out.

I haven't figured that out.

Thanks Steve

Mine is an ASUS T200TA the hybrid with a 11.6in screen.

Did you have any problems with the 10CU upgrade?

Mine's a UX 501 VW ... quite a beast for the bucks, I gotta say.

Swiping works with this one. That's no help for you, though, I'm afraid.

The 10CU upgrade went in w/o issues. The previous major update, whose name I forget, was something of a pain. It seemed to be working but stalled at the very end. All the online suggestions I found said to let it sit, it'd work eventually. Um. No. Unless we mean for values of "eventually" equal to or greater than 36 hours. So I just turned the thing off, restarted it and whatcha know, it all finished up and has worked fine since then.

Maybe 10CU wants the previous update installed before it'll behave?

My ASUS did have the 10AC and any updates since it was released up until the 10CU was first released. After MS withheld that on my machine until it tried again I think it did continue to update with those that applied to both versions.

Then it forced the upgrade to CU and we lost the touchpad so I rolled back to 10AC and disabled the wifi connection so it could not get any updates since the paramount use was with the two therapy apps that weren't needing updates.

I *so* dislike this forced update crap! You've probably seen these but a bit of poking around unearthed:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...0ef33e4?auth=1

https://windowssecrets.com/forums/sh...-Smart-Gesture

And the first suggestion here: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge...d-not-working/

I'm not sure I'd trust the second suggestion w/o more checking on these folks.
