Default Best online store to buy laptop battery?

I need a VPCCW21FX battery. I started looking and was ready to buy from one place until I read the fine print which said "usually ships in 2 to 4 weeks. I don't want to wait that long. And I do want to buy from a reputable dealer.

If you still go into CIS ask in the PCHardware Forum -- one of the old timers, one of the John's I think, is reliable. If not I'll ask but please give me make and model of laptop -- from the battery type it's a Sony but best if I have the model.

Andrew...

I've heard good thing about batteriesplus.com and they have a laptop battery section...

I plugged in the part number in your post and found:
https://www.batteriesplus.com/batter...fx?q=VPCCW21FX

The charger also appears to have the same number:
https://www.batteriesplus.com/charge...ies/vpc=cw21fx

I though BP prices tended to be skyhigh?

Google showed me this on WALMART!

I guess I gave unclear information. The number I gave it the Sony laptop model number (VPCCW21FX), not the battery number. I didn't even think to look at the battery (embarrassed grin). The battery is VGP-BPS13/Q.

So looking at that I find:

Walmart and B+B

Looks good -- delivery from US Source in a reasonable time by the looks of it.

I'll let you know if my CIS contact comes up with anything.

Well, now that I'm being smart enough to search on the battery number instead of the computer number I'm finding ones on Amazon with reviews. One says it works great and holds a charge for two hours. That doesn't sound great to me. I guess I better not rush with this one.

I've tried aftermarket batteries a few times and so far, haven't been very happy with the results. The OEM's own batteries have been more expensive but, at least for me, worth it.

This tenuous conclusion is based on a sample of two, maybe three different devices. Make of it what you will. ;-)

Not really because when I plugged that number (VPCCW21FX) in at batteriesplus.com, it correctly recognized that was the model number for a Sony Vaio that matches your other B+B link...

For some reason at B+B, if you search for "VGPBPS13Q" (no quotes), you get a no find but, if you search for "sony vaio laptop battery" (no quotes), the last entry on the page has that item number (VGPBPS13Q) and the link will take you to: https://www.batteriesplus.com/replac...Vaio/VGPBPS13Q

which is essentially the same item in the link in my first reply...

I don't know if that's true or not. In my limited experience, buying a replacement battery from the laptop maker is generally quite pricey so the $99 at batteriesplus.com didn't seem high.

I wonder if the really low prices one sees--did a search using the actual part number--are just crap batteries?
