Default Foxit succeeds where Adobe fails

I printed a web page to Acrobat Pro. I got a lot of garbage letters. Not usable. So I tried printing to Foxit. Looks great. I'm viewing both results using Acrobat.

I've heard good things about Foxit. I wonder how it would do with doing a print of a Washington Post article? When printing to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer instance, the PDF is created ok but! if, in Reader, you do a search for text it always returns a no find and the biggest oddity of all is that when in Reader, if you highlight some text, do a ctrl-c, and then paste into say Notepad (or any other text software), it basically takes each letter in the copied text and multiplies it--"all" would become something like "aaallllllllllll".

It's really strange and, very annoying...

I should check out Foxit more closely and see how it does...

I use it since they brought out the latest dumbed-down version of Reader. With one obscure exception that will not mean much to anyone, it does everything I want.
