Default Anyone else thinking Ipad2?

I watched the release yesterday with interest. I think that I will probably spring for one later this year.

Am I the only one from this group?

I'll stick with version one and wait till there's a few other improvements (higher res screen, document-oriented filing system, better camera).

Noticed a reveiew that suggested it was more of an iPad 1.5 than and iPad 2. Still, if you don't already have an iPad 1...

I want one. Wanted one from the beginning but figured this one would be lots better. Not sure of that, but probably will go for it anyway.

I love my iPod Touch, but it has lots of annoying size-related limitations for my purposes. Figure the iPad will solve some of those.

I thought seriously about getting one about four months ago, but reasoned that Apple tend to update yearly, and that would mean a March update. Good guess, and with the new features I'm glad I waited.

(But in Canada we have to wait another two weeks after the US for ordering ... which isn't bad compared to early devices, which came here months later, like the iPhone.)

Here's a report that may pique your interest.

Perhaps oddly, most of my iPad fantasies are word-oriented. But I don’t have one yet.

I had seen that elsewhere, but thanks for the link.

Right now I am not a happy camper. UPS left a delivery note on Friday, saying they had a delivery for me that requires a signature. I figure it has to be my pad. The note said they will deliver it today from 10:30 to 2. I leave work and wait from 10 to 3, and no delivery ... or even a new note.

I am ticked.

I don't know if UPS works the same way in Canada as they do in the States but here in the US, there are local UPS delivery depots and you can go to them to pick up packages--my local place is about 20 minutes from me. On the UPS delivery notes here in the States there is a phone number (usually a toll-free number) that you can call and if you give them the tracking number (and the number on the attempted delivery note--I think), they can tell you which delivery depot has the package. You can tell them you want to pick it up in person and then the depot will hold the package for personal pickup.

This of course assumes that the delivery depot is convenient to you, accessible to the public and open reasonable hours--my depot is open until ummm...7pm-ish...

Yeah, but here the local depot is 70 miles away. The package finally shows up, only four hours late. And to make it worse, it is only the cover for the iPad. I still have to wait for the pad to put under it.

Sheesh.
