Default VirtualBox cursor issues

I have had issues with the cursor getting either stuck momentarily or impossible to move to the top of the screen.

The way to resolve this without exiting the application is to move the cursor sharply to the bottom of the screen, after that it works again.

By the way; I'm on Vista and have Fedora 10 running on VirtualBox, and is using it on a notebook - if that has got any bearing on my problem.

Any suggestions?

Vista is quite heavy; Fedora is, too. Check memory uses of both VirtualBox and whatever is running in Vista (Task Manager, Process Explorer*). I sometimes see the mouse getting stuck (on "poor old Grace") - when the system is too busy doing things in the background, like swapping to and from virtual memory, or doing complicated screen repaints.

*) Process Explorer gives you more tools to manage things, but is not itself "light"; for just keeping open and watching things, Task manager is sometimes better. For both: make sure you add Virtual Memory use to the visible columns.

I've got 4Gb of RAM + 512MB on the graphics card. About 6Gb virtual memory as well, so memory shouldn't be an issue.

However; it could have something to do with compatability issues with the driver for the nVidia card.

I'll faff about with that later, something called work needs doing first...
