I glad it's back. And it's much better than half a chameleon.

FWIW, here's a review of CorelDRAW X4.

Good that Corel has updated its importing of PDFs and PSDs (arguably, this should have been a patch ages ago). If they could introduce simple trapping, that would be excellent (eg black objects should default to overprinting).

File, Print, Separations tab, check Print Separations, then check Always Overprint Black?

That's easy if the designer is supplying separations, Steve, but most printers these days want the Adobe standard: composite PDFs only <sigh>.

The "print to Acrobat" method won't work for this?

No, you have to manually set things like overprinting. I don't really mind, as I've got used to going through everything in the Object Mangler list and checking, but I just wondered if there was an easy fix in X4. Same with Frust... sorry, Illustrator: I expect that the programs don't give you the option to trap automatically because they're both essentially drawing apps rather than layout packages.

Have you checked with the Corel user group to see if your version or later versions can do this? The server I use to read the group is news://cnews.corel.com/. Or you can use this entry point

Also, it looks like the new layers feature is causing some problems for some work flows. So it might be worth checking this before upgrading.
