Default Corel Releases Painter X

Corel recently released Painter X.

I'm reluctant to quote a new feature list, because Corel sometimes slips old features into these lists. And not having Painter IX.5, I can't compare. But here's the press release. And here are some product highlights

Anyway, you can read the links, but I'll mention a few things. 1. The RealBristle technology supports the Wacom 6D art brush barrel rotation. 2. There are no fingers on the box. 3. Painter comes with a paper reference manual. 4. Painter does not support 16 bit files, but I'm not sure that makes much difference.

I plan to test drive this one. I have version 7 and have not tested a new version in a long time.

The enhanced photo-painting system is basically the old auto-clone and it's well...let me be somewhat kind...not good...'-}}

You will find it a big change from v7...well worth the upgrade price...

I'm not surprised. I've yet to see a fully-automated stroker do well.

I have the demo loaded and it looks good. But I'm not sure if I need this kind of tool anymore. Of course, not all purchases are logical.

I'd not heard of it...it looks very nice--more sophisticated than DogWaffle--and the price is certainly reasonable...I might try the free version...

Thanks!
