Yesterday, I was reading the thread about the display tree problem.
I discovered that I had some very serious issues. The drop-down menus for the Forum Tools, Search This Thread and Display Modes were not working at all. The headers were there, but selecting them did nothing, and the down-arrows were not there. Then I discovered I could no longer post a message. I fired up Internet Explorer, which I detest and normally wouldn't touch with a barge pole, and all was well. So I figured something must have gone wrong with Firefox. Tonight I copied my bookmarks file to my faithful old Syquest EZ135 (don't laugh--it's faster and much more dependable than any ZIP drive ever was!), uninstalled Firefox, deleted every remnant of it from my drive, rebooted, reinstalled Firefox, copied my bookmarks back over to the appropriate directory, and now I am back in business. Very strange. Best, Michele |

Regarding "expanding" messages - never had it happen until I read the messages here yesterday. Today, using Outlook Express 5.5 on Win 98SE, just one message did it. So it's maybe not Firefox after all??
BTW, it hasn't happened again - I just tried several more threads. Candy Last edited by Candy Jens; 03-01-2005 at 09:37 AM. |

So I threw it out, dragged in 1.0.1, and all is fine. Knock wood! You should be all right now. __________________ :: |
