Windows Fax Utility

I am trying to install the Windows XP Pro, SR 1 Fax Utility from my original Windows XP CD. However, the install asks for fxsapi.dll and fxscomex.dll from the SR 1 CD, which I don't have. I got these two DLL's from the web, but now it wants fxsclnt.exe, which I cannot find on the web.

Is there anything to be done, or must I try a third party utility instead? I have an older third party utility, but it doesn't work.

I got faxes to go using the old third party software on my wife's computer. I suspect the problem with my computer to be in the modem board, but I am not sure.

This is a common problem. You need to point the installer to the i386 folder on your XP CD so it can find the files. The files may be compressed so that may be why you can't find them when you search for them.
