Default Birthday pics

OK, so the boss said what theme do you want for your 50th party? Of course there was only one answer...
Yabba dabba doo!

Thank you, girls. It was quite a fun barbecue: we had mammoth burgers, pterodactyl wings, dinosaur sausages, and our little one insisted on being called Pebbles. We drew the line at her dressing up the cat as a sabre-tooth tiger. My wife found me the proper garb as well...

Only trouble is that I really can't abide the fact that I'm fifty

Belated happy birthday, Robin. You guys really know how to have a party!

As for being 50, it is the new 35, dontcha know? Look at you, hale and hearty, like a young man.

Try not to think too much about the next major birthday. I kept thinking that with the next one I would really have to grow up. Well, no such thing. It is a waste of a perfectly good decade even to think about it.

Oh, that explains the new avatar? I think we need another avatar vote here! You lost your style!

I felt like a change. If others agree with you, I can change again.

It’s funny β€” when we first moved to the web I really hated avatars. But I have changed my mind, though I do not expect any little image to represent me, really. But they are (or can be) little pieces of art, and a lot of fun.

I made this one way back when we first set this up.

I liked the previous one but I liked the one before that with the two @ signs even more because it symbolizes both DTP and web publishing.

Your current one looks like it comes from a standard avatar library or something. But if you feel it represents you better...

No, but I modeled it on the torn-paper characters from the South Park TV comedy show. However, an hour or two of it have already wearied me, so I retreated.

As for whether it represents me well, sometimes. The South Park characters are seriously mischievous!

Your new one is elegant. Though I still prefer the @-sign one.
