Default Google Search

I googled my name this morning and was suprised to find a page that consisted of a search of these forums for every message I had ever posted here. Does this mean that the results of searches become permanent pages?

Dunno, but will try to figure/find it out.

I knew another David Saunders. He worked for Monotype (England) as the archivist (and, I suspect, in many other roles over the years). His wife Patricia produced many well-known fonts there as well.

But googling on “Dave Saunders” brings up a photographer, a couple of students, a singer-songwriter, nutritional expert, tour producer, Smartdog’s musical director, political consultant aka “Mudcat,” one of 62 years with astrological sign Sagitarius (ahem!), a security specialist, couple of engineers, a “RogueSheep” listing, a “leading photographer’ of the polar regions, and more.

And yes, on page 3, “desktoppublishingforum - search results.” So I guess they are stored. Odd, isn’t it? What could Homeland Security do with that?

I will see whether this is an option. (BTW: I searched on my name and did not find a list of my searches (and there have been quite a few), so the mystery deepens.)

That URL
HTML Code:
./search.php?do=finduser&userid=34
is not a result of a search you performed. It is the URL behind the links one clicks when one chooses the "find all post by this member" link.

I couldn't find any way for a guest (which includes bots) to get to that link--but they may have been able to earlier in the forums existance.

Indeed, I don't recall doing such a search. Thanks for checking.
