Default Importing PDFs into Quack

Why is it that some PDFs will import into Quack but others won't? Quack often fails to import even v4 PDFs (it pretends the file's access is restricted, which is total gonads of course). It's not version- or platform-dependant, either: just seems haphazard, despite my having the latest Xtensions, I think. I can import PDFs into Frustrator, but I don't like it as a page-layout program.

Because it's like that. Seriously though, is it possible to export the PDF from Acronat as an EPS file, and place the EPS into Quark?

Good idea: I'll try it next time.

The obious drawback is that the EPS probably won't have a preview - unless Quark's EPS import filter has an interpreter - and I've no idea what the output would be like on a non-PS printer.

Worth a try anyhow.

I hope Aggrobrat has the sense to bung in a preview, and if anyone prints an eps to a non-ps printer they deserve what they get!
All the best.
