Default MS Expression Web Designer

Microsoft's Frontpage replacement program, Expression Web Designer, is available for download in a beta trial version from here. The features shown are interesting, as this program will be very different from FrontPage, but will still do things Microsoft's way.

Being promoted as a professional tool to rival Dreamweaver, I believe it misses the mark by miles. There seems to be no PHP support, and is targetted to ASP.NET 2.0 technology.

In the meantime the industry waits to see what Adobe does with DreamWeaver....

I also note that there is a graphic designer module: is this one going to replace Publisher?

I don't think so, as Publisher is included in Office Professional and upwards versions of Office 2007, due out next year.

Apart from the unsurprising lack of PHP support, some really interesting features. Wonder how well the accessibility checking works? Or how easy it is to create non-conforming code?
