Default Disconnecting Dreamweaver Templates

Having created individual pages from Dreamweaver templates, is it possible to disconnect them from the templates? I know that the whole idea is to change the individual pages by changing the templates, but it is at least possible to want to change a particular page and have the change stick, without changing the template.

I am running DW MX 2004, but this would apply to any recent version of DW.

Either make the part you want to change (or the whole page) as an editable region - or just remove all links on that page to the template.

Dave,

Modify > Templates > Detach from Template

However, as Kelvyn mentioned you can make regions of the Template editable. I usually do that with my Nav area so I can disable the link on the current page. I highly encourage leaving templates attached; I did a sight redesign in 3 minutes last year (after days and days of working on the new template). I really want to do a full redesign on one of my sites, but the templates aren't attached so it'll be a big job when I finally get around to it.

If editable regions in a template created page are updated, won't those regions remain as they are, even if other regions of the template are changed in Dreamweaver?

That's true, editable regions don't update when you update the template.
