Default New personal site design

Does anyone have any problems with this page (Our life with cats)?

It validates both XHTML Strict and CSS, works in Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

None of the links work at all, no how, no way. (Fair warning.)

By the way: What is XHTML 1.1? (Just noticed it in BBEdit.)

Thanks.

I think you might have calculated your widths a little to accurately; the pictures are below the rest, on the left of the screen, in IE 6.

You've got that box floating left. Why not have it floating right?

I just dropped 2% (now we are at 98%), and made the right-hand column float right.

Does this fix it?

Mostly. It still drops down much more quickly than in other browsers when I narrow the window, but sits fine at normal width and type size.

Yep. You're right. They don't. Couldn't begin to say why, but I can confirm the problem! (Firefox on Win XP Pro SP2)

Are you saying that you find the problem Ann had with MSIE6 — that the photos dropped down below the other content?

Or that the links do not work? I warned you they wouldn’t — this is a draft page, not a full site.

Unconfuse me if your can, s’il vous plait! <g>

Oh. I see. You're not confused, I am. (So what else is new?) Page appearance is respectable in both Firefox and IE here. Better in Firefox, but that may simply be due to different font settings in the two browsers. Nothing is out of place, though!

What sort of differences are you seeing between the two browsers? (And thanks for looking.)
