Meanwhile...

Macintel is out! http://www.apple.com/

Now look at that screenshot on the iMac on the right .... could that be Aperture? I'll bet it is. ;-)

So I wonder who among us here is going to be first to spring for this new thing? (Not me. I am still adjusting to OS X!)

I'd gut this iMac for it if it (natively) ran Windows software<G> Other than that, currently I'd be willing to bet it's too rich for my blood, my iMac being as new as it is.

Very Apple.

I dunno. It annoys me. They have some great products, why can't they market their own identity and strengths rather than continually comparing themselves to "those other guys"?

If I were a shrink, I think I'd be mumbling things about "inferiority complex" and "PCness envy" ....

LOL!!! There's that and of course the unnecessary apostrophe...just makes them look a bit stupid...'-}}

Years ago there was a car in my condo's parking lot with a vanity plate that I couldn't figure out and finally one day I saw the owner getting out of the car and asked her...the plate was NOPNSNV...I loved that she was able to get it past the state censors...'-}}

Um, what's unnecessary about the apostrophe? Surely it's short for 'it has'?

Ann:

And 'it' is twice as fast—that's twice as fast as previous Macs presumably, if this claim is anything to go by:

Up to 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo processor

Never mind. Maybe you hadn't had your coffee/tea when you read it.
