Default Colorizing Software Beta (Recolored)

In May 2005 I posted about a colorizing solution from AKVIS that appears to be based on this method. There is now another program that uses the same easy method. It is called Recolored, and you can pick up a free beta copy here

Do you know what platform(s) Recolored runs on? (It is not clear from the site.)

There's a screenshot in the devlobby.com thread that identifies it as (running on) Windows. The beta comes in ZIP format, so that suggests it's Windos-only.

Actually, .zip is the Mac’s native compression format (in OS X). But the screenshot is a good hint, though not (in this day and age) definitive.

Why on earth isn’t there a clear statement of requirements (not only platform, but hardware and OS)?

Actually, that is the real clue that it is Windows only. Many of those who inhabit the Windows universe often do not seem to realize there are other possibilities! <g>

Thanks.

Thanks, that's good to know (I thought it was .sit except Mac users can use .zip if needed). But actually I meant that as an indication in combination with the screenshot (badly worded, I know).

Cos it's still a beta? Not all of those might even be known yet (apart from OS if it's OS-specific other than a compilation option).

I semi-misspoke. StuffIt (.sit) is still the standard Mac format. However, it is fading fast with OS X because it natively creates .zip archives (that is, if you Control-click on a folder or file you get a popup with options, one of which is “Make archive.” If you select that, you get a .zip file. (Down at the bottom of the list, though, is StuffIt; click on that and StuffIt launches.)

Well, I was thinking that some specs and/or limitations would have been established from the planning stage, but what do I know? <g>
