Default some indd page palette help

As a past Quark user there are 2 things that seem like there should be a way to do, but I can't see how.

1. Select all the pages in the page palette, without having to shift and select each one.

2. Delete a group or all the pages. The delete menu seems to just let you delete 1 page at a time. This can't be true.

Thanks for your help.

You don't say whether you're on Mac or PC, Helene, but here is how I do it in Mac OS X (I'm still using InDesign CS, but can't imagine that it would have changed in CS2)

1. Click the first page, scroll down, and shift-click the last page. You will have all pages selected.

2. InDesign will allow you to delete as many pages at a time as you wish, as long as you leave one page remaining. To have a document at all, you need to have at least one page. You can thus select all the pages, deselect one, and drag the selection to the palette's trash. The same principle works with any number of pages selected in the palette.

Welcome to the forum. Glad to see you made it back.

Works the same on the pc side...then just click on the trashcan icon and all the pages are gone...

Thanks. I thought it would be the same, but never feel confident enough to assume so when I can't check it myself.
