Hi!
My name is Nicolae Sasu, from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I work as a desktop publisher for a printing house here in Cluj. I've been doing this type of work since 2001 when I got hired as a DTP operator at a small printing house in my home town.
I recently found this great forum and I hope I will find (and hopefully provide) usefull informations.
Have a great day everyone!

Welcome Nicu,
What a beautiful city you live and work in -- I just dropped Cluj-Napoca, Romania into Google Earth and it took me there.
The center at street view on that bright sunny day is wonderful and if you have 3-D buildings set to ON and exit street view someone has put a lot of work into creating the 3-D images of the main buildings!
And I don't think I've ever seen so many trees as in the countryside around!

I found also an entry for Cluj-Napoca (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluj-Napoca) in WikiPedia (which itself links to several sub pages). Looks well worth a visit!
(Bucharest is already high on my 'must visit' list.)

Thank you for the warm welcome. :) And also thanks for such nice words about Cluj-Napoca.
I recommend at least a weekend visit to Cluj, please let me know if anyone intends to visit it. I can recommend some very nice/not too expensive hotels, places to visit etc.
Marjolein, Amsterdam is a very lovely city, I love it and Lois, I always wanted to visit England and I hope I will soon. Hugh, what city/country are you from?
Have a nice weekend everyone (what's left of it).

Thank you Nicu! Noted and bookmarked. I might expand my idea of a week in Bucharest (this autumn) a bit since I'll have to postpone my planned trip to China... Just found this page (http://romaniatourism.com/cluj.html) which tells me "There are daily INTERCITY (Express) trains connecting Cluj Napoca with Bucharest (journey time: 8 hours)". Looking at the little map on that page, that might be a lovely trip, too (and I love train travel). Maybe a little longer than a weekend. :)
I'll definitely let you know if this becomes more of a plan rather than just an idea... :)

Hi Nicu,
I'm originally from Britain (Wales so I don't say England <s>) but I live in the USA now, in Florida.
