Can anyone recommend software to convert a PPT file to a single, non-frame HTML file? My latest project has a rather large PPT I need to convert and I'm not looking forward to endless copy/paste into Dreamweaver. PPT's save as HTML feature is dreadful and no apparent option for turning off Frames.
Thanks,
Can anyone recommend software to convert a PPT file to a single, non-frame HTML file? Steve Rindsberg's PPTools site (http://www.pptools.com/ppt2html/index.html) has a tool to do what you want. It's not free, of course, but I doubt if you'd find a free tool that would do the job.

Thanks, Ann. I'll try out the Demo, but since this is for work the price is a bit steep for something I wouldn't be reimbursed for.
Update: Any other ideas? I don't have MS Office and this program requires PPT to be running.

Open Office can do it with or without frames, although it seems to save the slide as an image, plus the text and image separately, so I don't know how useful that is to you.

I tried Open Office and got the text but not the images.

I found an OK if not perfect workaround. From PPT, I saved the presentation as a Word document. Saving from Word to HTML created some really bad code, but it at least got me the text and images. Now I just have to reformat it, but I do that with Word so often it's almost habit.

If that solution is not workable, you could email me the file here, and I could use our copy of Impatica to convert it into a SWF file. Works quite well 99% of the time, and greatly reduces file size. I am donald[dot]mccahill{at}lambton/./on\.\ca.
