I'm trying to Distill from Canvas 7 (Win98SE) but the jobs flush in Distiller (missing font errors). The only font used is Arial TrueType, and of course it gets replaced with Courier. Changing the font to something else produces the same result: the error log says this:
%%[ Error: ___FN33 not found. Font cannot be embedded. ]%%
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: findfont ]%%
Stack:
/Font
/___FN33

The last line varies: sometimes the font is FN3, sometimes FN2.
If I remove all text, the file Distills OK.

Any ideas, Andrew? (Or anyone else of course!)
Many thanks
Robin

What happens if you save the Canvas document to a different format and print from another application? Does Acrobat still get confused? And if you create a new empty document and throw some Arial in it, does Distiller behave?

I created a new empty document with a few choice words in Arial TT and TNR TT, but got similar errors as before. If I use Courier New TT, then it works fine. Oh, the problem doesn't happen on Mac OS9, by the way <grrr>.

I found a couple of resources that seem to address this problem.

Thanks, Andrew. I'll try them out.
