If I want to know more about some place or someone, Google can provide plenty of information. Lois, I wanted to know just a bit more about Uplyme, Devon, and I found this link.

Uplyme, Devon (http://www.eastdevon.gov.uk/index/council_services/planning/local_plan/local_plan_spg/planning-uplyme_vds_and_pp.htm)

The picture of the countryside is gorgeous, but they have somehow prevented me from saving it. The text, however, contains an incorrect apostrophe.

A Parish Plan for the Parish was endorsed by the Council at the same time and it's actions and proposals will be taken into account by the Council when making decisions.

For this, we should call in the Apostrophe Protection Society, (http://www.apostrophe.fsnet.co.uk/index.htm)but of course DTP forum members can all write to the email address on the page, too, asking them to remove the offending apostrophe. I couldn't resist the APS logo, which I have attached.

Well, local council officers round here are not that well-paid, so I suppose pretty countryside and proper punctuation are too much to ask!

I did some detective work for you:

In the page, we have this line:
<div id="header" class="ISI_IGNORE">
(and two items with the same id 'header_logo' below - tsk tsk).

So I loaded the style sheet by following these clues:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="default.css" type="text/css" media="screen, projection">
http://www.eastdevon.gov.uk/index/council_services/planning/local_plan/local_plan_spg/default.css
which leads me to the style here:
#header {
height: 100px;
background: url(banner1.jpg) left no-repeat #FFFFFF;
clear: both;
vertical-align: bottom;
}
Bingo: here is your image - which is a background, which is why you can't select it on the page:

A friend of mine runs the unofficial village web site, which even has its own webcam

Bingo: here is your image - which is a background, which is why you can't select it on the page:I can - just right-click, and choose "View background image" - FF that is, but it's the same in Mozilla.

Pretty picture - panoramic, too: there's a lot more than you see in a "normal" browser window.

Thank you for the image, which I knew could be had with some detective work, or even a right click in Firefox.

Are those sheep on the hill in the upper right corner?
