Spotted a new hunk of billing software, Billable (http://clickablebliss.com/billable/), for Mac users and and watched the Quicktime demo there at the site. Looks pretty simple and slick, and best suited for one-man shops. It does both hourly and flat-rate billing, and looks pretty darn good for my purposes. I currently have a time sheet spreadsheet to keep a running total of project costs and when it's time to bill I crank up my word processor and manually type up the invoice. I print a copy for my files, then PDF to email to clients. After seeing the Quicktime demo, however, I think I'll grab and play with the 30-day demo. I like that it will automate some of my manual work and eliminate my most annoying (and sometimes embarrassing :eek:) typing errors.
Oh crud. Just noticed that it requires 10.4.4 Tiger and I haven't bought that upgrade yet. Oh well. I'll put this at the top of the list to try once I upgrade. Oh well, maybe someone else will try it for me and report back.
