This may either be straightforward, or impossible. I prepared a document using InDesign CS vsn 3. I have since discovered that the printing firm we plan to use (in India) is only prepared to take PageMaker files. Is there any way that I can convert the ID file to a format which PageMaker can read, or do I have to start again? (By the way, I have PageMaker 6.5.)
Thanks,
John

This may either be straightforward, or impossible. Not straightforward--it will either be ugly or impossible. A few questions first:
1. is the document text-only or text & art?
2. Is the text one big threaded story or lots of little fragments?
3. is the document single- or multiple-column layout?
4. have you used style sheets, or styled everything locally?
5. are you on a Mac or Wintel machine?

In a word, no.
Either start again or ask why the printer will not take PDF files.

That’s all I can imagine. Sorry.

My document is a calendar, so lots of fragments - photographs, a logo, quotations and of course dates. I have used styles, but not style sheets. I'm using Windows XP.
More generally, I thought that this problem might have arisen before, and wondered if there was 'any way back'.
Judging by the comments I think it will be simplest for me to start again. Thanks for the responses - appreciated.

Surely they can deal with PDF files in India. You could create those from ID. Of course, they would not be able to edit them.
